Mythos Academies

Founded by a witch and a human, the Academies were founded to provide a safe haven for mythos on Earth to live among humans. They are completely shielded from the gaze of the gods. Their collective goal is to maintain balance and keep the line between mythos and humans protected.

THE ACADEMIES

Each Academy is run by a Headmaster or Headmistress, or a faculty of two to three members, that watches over the residents and ensures that there is peace among the mythos.

The Academies provide shelter, food, and jobs for those who join. These members are called Agents and help to keep the Academies running. Agent divisions include, but are not limited to: clean-up crews, healers and medics, instructors, archivists, artificers, espionage, and militia.

There are seven Academies across Earth, each one with its own values to live by.

  • Built within the mountain ranges outside of Athens, Greece, it is the first Academy created and is run solely by Headmaster. However, it is one of the smaller academies, and is very selective of its members. Their ideal is Justice.

  • Hidden within the Redwood National Forest in California, it is the largest academy in regards to member count. Run by Light Mistress, Dark Master, and Sand Master. They are open to welcoming people of all kinds. Their ideal is Compassion.

  • Deep in the rainforests of Brazil, this academy is suspended in the tree canopy and difficult to find. They rarely have visitors outside of the other academies, and majority of their members are overflow from other largest academies. Run by Beast Master and Bard Master, their ideal is Adventure.

  • Lost among the snowstorms of northern Russia, this Academy is one of the most difficult institutions to join. They challenge all those who arrive on their doorstep, including returning members. Run by Forge Master and Ice Master, their ideal is Determination.

  • This academy is built around a sacred oasis deep in the middle of Africa’s savannah. Run by Sage Master and Moon Mistress, they welcome newcomers with reverence. Their ideal is Wisdom.

  • THE ACADEMY OF ZEN

    Directly in the heart of Beijing, this tiny academy is protected by wards to hide in plain sight among humans. Run by Mage Master and Thief Mistress, their ideal is Loyalty.

  • Despite the dry heat of Australia’s Great Victoria Desert, this academy is one of the largest in size due to its sprawling structure. Run by Metal Mistress and Pyro Mistress, their ideal is Innovation.
